So much to say …
Giobbi Designs is the new blog for 35 year old Linea Forma Design. Started in Sausalito, California in 1980 as a partnership between myself and Ron Skaff, an industrial engineer, we chose the name Linea Forma to represent an Italian design influence on our creative “line and form” (2D and 3D) work. We designed furniture lines, transportation products, logos, catalogs and technical art. When the partnership ended, I retained the company name, moved to the Pacific Northwest, settling in Portland in 1990. So for 25 years, I have worked in Portland as an independent graphic designer, product developer, technical artist and animator.
My expertise in layout and technical art have yielded long-term relationships with clients. And having developed additional skills in 3D modeling and animation, motion graphics and video, I have been able to expand my range of projects for existing and new clients. Now my social media skills are catching up, and I hope to present a new face to this long term artist and designer’s story.
Welcome to Giobbi Designs. I hope to connect with you often. I’d like to share design insights, evolution of projects and personal creative endeavors. Follow my blog. Visit the site. Tell your friends. Recommend me. Connect to me. Like me. Visit me. Follow me. Tweet me. There, got that out of my system. I’ll do my best to be as professional online as I am in business. Just know that there will be humor. That’s just part of the package. Consider it an undocumented feature. Looking forward to communicating with you.
